More advance warnings . . . RIJF 2006

It looks like a few more artists have been signed for the 2006 edition of the Rochester International Jazz Festival. Previous early warnings are here and here. Here are the latest additions (see here and here for previous warnings):

  • Woody Allen and his New Orleans Jazz Band. As announced this morning on WXXI, Allen and his band, who rarely venture out of NYC and the Carlyle Hotel will open the RIJF in a benefit concert June 9th at 8 p.m. at the Eastman Theatre. I confirmed this on the band’s blog here.
  • Little Feat (this will probably be one of the free shows on the new East Ave stage, and it looks like they’ll be playing with Roomful of Blues), on June 10th
  • Toots Thielemans, on June 14th.
  • Kenny Werner, on June 14th
  • Chris Berry & Panjea, on June 16th.
  • The Bruce Katz Band, on June 17th [added later]
