Wycliffe and Wynton . . .?

On December 12th, trombonist Wycliffe Gordon (in town to play with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra at the Eastman Theater, presenting Duke Ellington’s adaptation of the Nutcracker Suite to benefit local developmental disabilities service organization Lifetime Assistance Inc.) will be playing with Thornwood Jazz at the Montage Grille at 10:00 p.m. This one is also sponsored by Urban Grooves Group. As hinted at on Saturday, perhaps Wynton and some of the other cats might drop by to sit in . . . ?
IGOOFED: OK, Wycliffe has played with the LCJO, but was not in town to do so. Wynton even said he was surprised to see him (now how could that have happened?)
