Coming November gigs here and abroad . . .

These mostly have been posted before, but there are some artists coming to town here and in Buffalo that you may have missed this summer:

  • November 3d: Duke Robillard, blues and jump jazz guitarist, who last played a “garden party” at the Eastman House this summer will be playing on Thursday, November 3d at 8pm, at the Montage Grille. Call 585-232-2520 for tickets. You can also now pay for the Montage Grille on their website using PayPal.
  • November 9th & 10th: Catch guitarist Sheryl Bailey and her trio at the Horizons Lounge at the Lodge at Woodcliff, Wed. and Thurs., Nov. 9-10, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. Call 585-248-8825.
  • November 13th: For those of you who dug him at Milestones during the Jazz Festival, you’ll have to shuffle off to Buffalo to catch Steve Turre at the Albright Knox Gallery on Sunday, November 13th at 3:00 pm.
  • November 16th & 17th: Pianist and vocalist Freddy Cole at the Horizons Lounge at the Lodge at Woodcliff, Wed. and Thurs., Nov. 16-17, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. Call 585-248-8825.
  • November 19th: There will be a memorial concert for jazz musician and educator, Bob Stata, who died in June of cancer. The memorial concert will include performances by Dena De-Rose, the Mambo Kings, John Sneider, Bob Sneider, Bill Dobbins, Paul Hofmann, Gap Mangione, Mike Melito, Mike Karn, Grant Stewart, Dino Losito, Dan Vitale, James VanDemark, Paul Smoker, Rich Thompson, Mike Kaupa, Carson Cooman, and Colby Cooman. Nov. 19th, Nazareth College Arts Center at 8pm.
