Dynamic Duo of Smooth Jazz

On Saturday, October 22, 2005, WDKX & P.I.’s presents an evening of smooth Jazz and classic R & B with The Jimmie Highsmith, Jr. Band and vocalist Tyler Owens. Doors will open at 6pm . Admission is $10.00. They will light up the stage for two electric sets of music until 9pm. P.I.’s is located at 499 West Ave Rochester, NY 14611. Variance Recording Artist Jimmie Highsmith, Jr.’s sax work represents some of the best in the Smooth Jazz Genre. O.F.E.G. Recording Artist Tyler Owens has toured both the U.S and Europe over the last two decades providing Power Houser Steller performances where ever he appeared. They will be backed by the talents of Marvin Parker, Jr., on Bass, Victor Antonetti, Jr., on Keyboards, Brother Wilson on Guitar, Robbie Gissandanner on Drum and Hiram Swain also on Keyboards. If you haven’t already heard these smooth jazz-recording artists perform LIVE, this is one show you do not want to miss.

By the way, I’m happy to post gigs on this blog, especially gigs like this that may not have been advertised widely elsewhere. Just click on the email link and drop me a line. In many ways, that’s the reason it’s here—to promote jazz music, in all its many genres and moods, in Rochester. Of course, I could do a better job in getting gigs up here as well, but as I noted earlier, I don’t want it to be just about listing all the shows in town. There are a lot of them and I’d never have time for anything else!
