Jimmie Highsmith Jr. Playing a Benefit at Milestones August 26th
I like to make sure you know about some of the jazz events in town that may not be getting into the City Paper or other outlets. While the range of this blog is limited (heck, I have tens of readers every day). Some of them are benefits and one of this city’s most prolific players at benefits for the community is saxman Jimmie Highsmith Jr. . He’ll be doing a Jazz Fundraiser for Unified Tae Kwon Do, on August 26, 2006 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm at Milestones Music Room. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Phone: (585) 325-6490. $10 in advance, $15 Day of Show. So Jimmie hopes you’ll come out and have a great time listening and giving to a great cause. All proceeds from ticket sales go to Unified Tae Kwon Do & Master Dwayne McKinney to offset the cost of grading fee’s for the Unified Tae Kwon Do’s Black Belt candidates of 2007.
